So Sarah and i have been wanting to go on a hike for a while now. After painting more of my portrait of her today, we decided to set out for the foothills. Around 4:00 we drove to the top of Lake and scrambled out of the car...the light was fading fast. Our goal was to get to a point where we could watch the sun set over Pasadena.
About a half hour later, we reached a beautiful view...
...we had made it just in time...
if you look carefully, you can see downtown LA peeking over the mist and the smog...
At this point i had taken many pictures of Sarah so she made me stand in front of the camera. :P
And she'll get mad if i don't put a few of them up so...

It always amazes me how quickly the sun goes down. Within a few minutes the light where we were standing disappeared...
so we headed back.

We then went to Trader Joe's so Sarah could get some "Ends and Pieces"...but they didn't have any. So She got freeze dried strawberries instead.
Then we went to Chipotle...
I need to hike more. There is no excuse to live here and not hike all the time. Even if i'm only here on weekends...
i think i'm going to drive back to Orange tonight...Sarah's going to be a poop and go to bed.
